That's a tad too loud to be called "Ambient", pip. This is all over the place, no focus to be heard even though the sound itself is pretty nice, but the tempo and composition is way off, imo.

I'd suggest you try to create tunes with slower tempo; it fails to represent anything due to the fact it seems it always try to run away to the next verse.
Try to create an adagio, melancholic melody; that should give you a really good practice to commit to a single subject / theme / atmosphere. The bonus is that it should expend your abilities as an author.

Funny thing you've done here.
Usually the beats are the background pattern; not the leading instrument instead of the melody.
Furthermore, if you label this as a loop; make sure it loops seamlessly. Because frankley every single tune/song which ends and repeats itself is a loop under that definition.

I can see this being a menu theme, it only needs to loop better.

Not much of space.

This is not much of the regualr "space" tune, the traditional way to create such themes are by creating sound with high tempo with short bursts. (Which you did, but in a very calm fashion way.)

The tune is very good, but I would tag is as a "2D-Prison-cell" kind of-tune, Think of machinarium, I think you'll hear the connection.
(8/10 because, really, there is no climate to the tune. Even silent-ambients should get those.)

Not bad.

Its a nice result for a first submit.
But its to slow-moving, theres not enough additional content in the track, results in getting old. Fast.
